Albie Duncan is an elderly republican Politician working in the State Department since President Harry s. Truman´s time. His first appearance is in the episode "Gone Quiet", where he is asked to help with a serious crysis, when a Nuclear submarine goes missing in Haiju bay near North Corea. He, being somewhat in his 80s, thinks of Jed Bartlet, being in his mid 50s or beginning 60s, as a child. Jed Bartlet is also not a fan of him because of that behaviour that shows Albie´s Dislike of the President. So he is only invited after Leo can convince the President, that with another Expert named Peter having a Heart surgery and not being able to come, Albie is the only one left being able to fix the problem and that he´s the best man for this kind of crysis. at all. Albie is a man who likes to tell stories about his military and political carrier, making Leo become interested and Jed go nuts. After the solving of the crisis he is once again a great Help in the second Bartlet Election, when, being sorrounded by reporters, he tells about his forein affairs experiences and that Bartlet is a good President.
