Andrew Johnson (December 29, 1808 – July 31, 1875) was President of the United States during the late 1860s.
About[]
President Johnson's favorite fireplace was in the Mural Room of the White House and he used to sip whiskey from a charcoal keg by that fireplace while reading.[1]
In 1869, President Johnson rescinded Special Field Order Number 15 giving forty acre plots of land in South Carolina to newly freed slaves.[2]
