Bill Stark was a reporter for the Christian Evangelical magazine Kingspeak. Every year the magazine identified the "365 in Media," the most influential people in media who were doomed to eternal damnation, and each was assigned a calendar day on which the readers would pray for them.
On January 22, 1999, he visited C.J. Cregg in the White House Press Briefing Room and told her Kingspeak readers would be praying for her on December 10th. She thanked him, believing the prayers were meant in kindness, and in return, he asked if President Bartlet would reconsider his position on school prayer.
He had previously served with Cornell Rooker on the Miami City Council and praised his appointment as Attorney General due to his support for racial profiling. C.J. found the transcripts from the city council and showed them to the President and Leo McGarry.
