The 2002 Democratic National Convention was a presidential nominating convention, held in August 2002, wherein Democratic party delegates chose their nominee for President and vice president of the United States for the 2002 presidential election. The convention was held in New York City, New York.[1]
Incumbent president Josiah Bartlet ran unopposed during the Democratic primaries. He decided to keep incumbent vice president John Hoynes on the ticket. They were renominated at the convention without opposition.
