Eric Schaeffer is a Staff Assistant in the White House Press Office. He appears in the Access documentary about the White House Press Secretary C.J. Cregg.
He gives President Bartlet's press schedule for Wednesday, March 31, 2004, for news planning. He follows breaking crime news on C.J.'s request, and at the White House Communications Meeting, he tells her he's seen nothing about the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This confuses the other members of staff, whom C.J. hasn't told that she saw George Arnold in the White House that morning. She claims she is only keeping him on his toes.
He checks the sound system before the Ugandan delegation arrives. He gives an update when the enfolding situation with Jamal Othman changes the president's schedule and later tells Carol that Mrs. Othman isn't Yemeni-American, but born in Detroit.
