Muriel Keith was a guest of President Josiah Bartlet who had had his picture taken with every President since Herbert Hoover. Upon his visit, President Bartlet learned that Keith had visited Hoover the day before the Stock Market crashed in 1929. Because of market fluctuation, Bartlet rescheduled the photo-op out of concern the man was a potential jinx.
