The 2002 Republican National Convention was a presidential nominating convention, held in August 2002, wherein Republican party delegates chose their nominee for President and vice president of the United States for the 2002 presidential election. The convention was held in San Diego, California.[1]
Florida governor Robert Ritchie won the Republican nomination during the 2002 primaries. He then selected Jeff Heston to be his running mate prior to the convention.
